Our assessments and interviews

If you have demonstrated to the Association that you meet the requirements of a vacancy we will invite you to participate in the next stage of our process. This may be an invitation to an assessment session or to an interview at our Main offices.

Assessment Session

You will be asked to complete a number of short tests to demonstrate your ability to meet the essential requirements of the post. We use the following tests:

  • Numerical and verbal reasoning tests
  • Prioritisation tests
  • Computer literacy tests (focusing on Microsoft Office)
  • Multiple choice tests based on your knowledge of a relevant subject e.g. Gas Safety

Interviews

Our interviews are based around the person specification with the aim of assessing how your knowledge, skills and abilities match it. The interview will also be your opportunity to ask the questions that matter to you. After all, we want you to be sure that you make the right decision. If you haven't attended one of our assessment sessions you may also be required to complete some of the tests mentioned above as part of your interview.
