Who we are
Pembrokeshire Housing is an independent, not for profit Industrial & Provident Society and is the local housing association, being based in and operating in Pembrokeshire.
Since it was established in 1981 it has achieved consistent growth and now provides over 2,000 homes.
These are distributed from St David's in the north west to Saundersfoot in the south east of the County.
They range from 1 bedroom flats for single persons/couples through to 3 and 4 bedroom family homes and include a range of homes specially designed for wheelchair users.
Pembrokeshire Housing also provides retirement housing for the over 55s in sheltered housing and homes for life housing projects.
It also provides a range of supported housing projects for people with special needs. These are generally managed on a day to day basis by specialist partner from both the voluntary and statutory sectors.
Conscious of the continuing need for affordable housing in the County, the Association in conjunction with Pembrokeshire County Council, its strategic housing partner, provides additional housing in response to needs identified. These are funded using a mixture of grant from Welsh Assembly Government and private funding from banks and building societies.
A subsidiary association, established in partnership with the County Council and Health Board, provides Care & Repair services across the County. This supports elderly and/or disabled owners to remain in their own homes in comfort, safety and security.
