New Housing Development in Haverfordwest

Pembrokeshire Housing, which this year celebrates its 30th Anniversary has recently commenced a new development at Peregrine Close, Haverfordwest.

It is the local housing association which owns and manages 2,150 affordable quality homes across the County.

Homes range from 1 bed flats for single people/couples through to 3 and 4 bed family houses and include a number of purpose built bungalows for disabled persons. The Association also has sheltered and extra care housing for older persons.

Once complete this 35 home development will provide a mix of flats and houses and include a disabled persons bungalow.

Brian Charles, Chair of Pembrokeshire Housing said he was "pleased to be able to recognise the start of construction on this site. With the shortage of affordable housing across the County it is important for Pembrokeshire Housing to deliver additional affordable homes ? This is the first of at least four developments we intend to commence this year".

"By working with local contractors such as W.B. Griffiths & Son, who in turn use local suppliers we can also support the Pembrokeshire economy, which is essential in these difficult financial times".

Our company established in 1920 at the current address has now passed down four generations to the current board of directors, who have been charged with the responsibility of continuing the company's legacy after having served the construction industry of Pembrokeshire and West Wales for over 90 years.

The directors are focused on the company's future development to continually achieve the highest professional standards of service and quality of work.

The success story is based on a strong family tradition supported by a direct labour force of local skilled tradesmen and professional, loyal and dedicated staff along with a supply chain of local subcontractors and material suppliers.

The company's development has been supported by Pembrokeshire Housing for over 20 years having initially carried out maintenance works and more recently completed a development of 30 new homes.

We are grateful for the support received and wish Pembrokeshire Housing success for their 30th anniversary and for the future years to come".
